Stem Cell Trial Gives Hope to Patients With Spinal Cord Injury

A new clinical trial led by Dr. Michael Fehlings, Medical Director of the Krembil Neuroscience Centre, Head of the Spinal Program at Toronto Western Hospital and Senior Scientist, McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine is giving hope to patients with spinal cord injury. This groundbreaking clinical trial – the first of its kind in Canada – utilizes neural stem cells to re-myelinate spared axons in the spinal cord.
